Reviewed scientific journal «Vestnik of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGT)» was founded in 1996 and enhances research and innovative activity of the University, integration of high school and academic science.

The journal “Vestnik of SSUGT” publishes original theoretic, scientific and practical results of researches presented in Russian and English languages (title, author’s information, abstract, and key words).

The founder and publisher of the journal is the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGT).

The editor-in-chief of the journal is Vladimir Ivanovich Obidenko, PhD in engineering, associate professor, Honored Worker of Geodesy and Cartography of the Russian Federation, Vice-Rector for Secondary Vocational Education at SSUGT – Director of the Novosibirsk College of Geodesy and Cartography. V. I. Obidenko is a member of the Scientific and Technical Council in the field of geodesy, cartography and spatial data under the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography; the Central Board of the Russian Society of Geodesy, Cartography and Land Management (Rosgeokart); the Committee for the F. N. Krasovsky Prize, established by the Russian Society of Geodesy, Cartography and Land Management, awarded for the best scientific and technical developments in geodesy and cartography.

The mission of the journal is to develop and update the scientific and communicative space of geodetic and a number of related sciences (remote sensing, cartography, computer science, cadastre, etc.) based on research by specialists of the Siberian scientific school, represented by scientists from SSUGT, other scientific and educational institutions, as well as representatives of other, including foreign, schools.

Before 2015 journal was published under the name «Vestnik SSGA».
